Follow this link for photos from Vintage Indiana on Saturday. My lovely girlfriend, Sara with no 'h', and I tried wines from French Lick Winery, Grape Inspirations, Butler Winery, Carousel Winery, Winzerwald Winery, Turtle Run Winery, The Ridge Winery, and Huber's Orchard and Winery. While we were there we ran into Orion and his girlfriend Sarah with an 'h'.

I noticed that many of the wineries were producing various types of fruit wine. This was even more prevalent than the last time I attended three of four years ago. Most of Indiana really doesn't have the geography to produce the best grapes so this makes a lot of sense. While we were there we picked up several pieces of literature about wine trails in Indiana. Does anyone want to go on a hike later in the season?

After dinner at P.F. Chang's we made a B-line to Chicago to watch Sara's brother Charlie graduate high school. He graduated from New Trier on Sunday evening. After which Sara's paternal grandfather treated everyone to dinner at The Noodle. We made it back to Lafayette by 01:30 Monday morning. It was a busy weekend, but it was a lot of fun.

The opossum hates all life. He was captured last night and is currently feasting on peanut butter and water. After work I will drive him to Brookston and set him free. Maybe he will decide to live with the Jensens.

On Saturday Sara and I drove down to Indy to visit Mr Kelsey. We caught up while walking about downtown. After our stroll we had dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory. Strangely enough if we had walked a half a block south we would have bumped into my sister's bachelorette party at the Claddagh. After parting ways with Mr Kelsey, Sara and I watched a worthless movie at Tibbs Drive-In Theater.

The current opossum count is three captured in four days. The Varmint Relocation Project (hereafter referred to as the VRP) continues.

The opossum count rose to four this morning. Every time we put the trap out with a fresh dollop of peanut butter we catch another one. I have taken to carting them out to the Brookston area before work so they don't have to sit in the cage all day.

April's wedding was a smashing success. Everything looked lovely and everyone had fun. My photos are available here.

The varmint count rose to 5 this morning. We hadn't captured one for several days. This one is a little larger than the earlier specimens. The VRP continues.

A photo of sunset in Lafayette at 21:30 last night. Civil twilight (i.e. when it gets dark) was at 21:55. I rest my case.

The VRP made its 6th delivery to Brookston last night. This one was full grown and may have been the progenitor of the the previous 5.
