The long holiday weekend was very nice. We took a couple days to compose ourselves before driving to Chicago. There we visited with Sara's family and friends. On the third her grandparents were kind enough to take us out on their boat. We toured the north fork of the Chicago river, went swimming in the lake, had a fantastic dinner at Riva on Navy Pier, rode the giant ferris wheel, and finally watched the fireworks from the boat. It was a very busy, but very rewarding day. On the fourth we somehow mustered the energy to stop by the Winnetka parade and wear silly hats while people threw candy at us.

Also, it should be noted that the VRP is up to 8 successful relocations including one adolescent lagomorph to complement our seven didelphimorphs.
