I have been surprisingly minimalist about making log entries recently. That is to say that I haven't done any. This weekend was a weekend of many movies.

  • Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - Would you be happier if you could erase all memory of your last breakup? See this one at least once. Make sure you are in a thinking mood
  • American Splendor - The life and times of underground comic book writer Harvey Pekar. Not bad at all, it is a kind of cross between documentary and narrative. It doesn't hold your attention very well, but it is interesting.
  • Without a Clue - Sherlock Holmes is a bumbling idiot who only solves crime with the assistance of the brilliant Dr. Watson. Interesting idea, mediocre execution, good for eating up a lazy Sunday afternoon.

I finished The Demon Haunted World. Not a bad book at all. I have never taken to nonfiction, but I did enjoy this one. Carl Sagan has a much more gentle hand than the James Randi's of the world. I think the skeptical movement will catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

I started reading Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut. It is short, which is good because I have very little reading time at the moment. As the Bokononists would say: busy, busy, busy
